As the year end approaches, we are taking this opportunity to thank all of you for your wonderfully inspirational support. We are also presenting the trailer and a new full length lecture by Jacque Fresco titled Problem Solving.

We want to express our deep appreciation to each and every one of you who volunteer with The Venus Project. Whether you are within our teams or not, just new to our teams, or have been with us for years, you play such a huge part in moving the Project forward and exposing the ideas and aims to the public. We want to thank those who are supporting us by purchasing the lectures, books, and other materials and to those moving through the Sociocyberneering Education Project to get a much more in-depth understanding about the The Venus Project. Obtaining an ongoing education about the subject matter is certainly of great importance. And there are also those who are helping grow The Venus Project by maintaining our Social Media, Graphics, Website, Transcriptions, Video Productions, Text Editing, and those working within the Human Resources, Data-Driven Decisions, Communications, Fundraising, and Land Acquisition teams. Of course, this includes Linguistic Team International and the Points Of Contact teams who have done some awesome work. Also included are the amazing creations of the Virtual Reality team, along with the incredible contributions of the Architectural, Engineering, & Construction volunteers. There are so many to thank and each of you gives us tremendous inspiration.
We would also like to extend a very special appreciation to S.O.U.L. Documentary and to all of you who have donated to their matching funds campaign that has been hugely successful. There is so much that will be done with the hundreds of donations we received to preserve and organize Jacque Fresco’s enormous body of work that we are fortunate to have as our “foundation”. Big or small, your contributions will make that, and so much more, happen.
It should be noted that S.O.U.L. Documentary is also contributing the funds they raised from the sale of A World Worth Imagining; Jacque Fresco - The Man with the Plan to their 50k matching campaign. We are extremely grateful for everything they are doing to support this direction. Newly Published Video Lecture
Jacque Fresco - Problem Solving (Nov. 5, 2010)
In this lecture, Jacque Fresco stresses that problem solving is the most important lesson we must discuss. He describes the difference between the private/corporate problem-solving approaches prevalent in much of today's society versus global problem solving, which a Resource-Based Economy will utilize.
He further elaborates on emergent problem solving through several examples, touching on various topics such as captivating the attention of children, evolution, behavior, future schools, psychology, linguists & semanticists, overcoming scarcity, metaphysics vs. physical referents, the possibility of needing specialists in certain areas due to a lack of generalists* in the way that Jacque uses the term, and so much more!
* Education in the future will be geared towards facilitating the creation of generalists who incorporate all of the factors necessary to sustain a civilization that takes care of the needs of all people and protects the whole Earth system. Specialists are produced today due to the established trade-based systems.
