The Venus Project is currently engaging in initial detailed design procedures for our next phase, which will be unveiled in more detail once it is further along. The building designs are being taken directly from the over 5500 design sketches that Jacque Fresco produced over the last 41 years, with the design layout arranged by Roxanne Meadows. Stan Aizin is preparing the business plan. Adam Bouzane is coordinating the architectural and engineering design teams, in an effort to achieve competent, tenderable, construction packages.

The intent is for this Comprehensive Development to become a major hub for international research and the home base for a think-tank focusing on the vital steps needed for implementation of a Global Resource Based Economy. This will be an all-encompassing “Resource Based Economy” education complex, including dedicated research and development centers. It will also include a “Museum of the Future” within one eighth of the circular arrangement; demonstrating educational exhibitions to help people both understand the state of technology, as well as its potential when utilized humanely within this new social direction. This will allow visitors to significantly expand their understanding of how people relate to one another and the world around them.

A conference center, access center, machine shop, arts and music center, educational seminars, media facilities, full- and part-time residences, accommodations for visitors, and numerous other amenities will also be fully integrated within a park-like environment. This facility’s primary focus is toward education, along with research & development for Global Resource Management, and short- to long-term problem solving centered on the wellbeing of people and sustained protection of the environment. The lessons learned and knowledge gained through experimentation toward this new socio-economic system will be scaled up and applied to the first circular city.

For this major project to be successful, The Venus Project requires the volunteer assistance of competent Engineers, Architects, and Technicians in all forms to help produce a competent Design Development Level drawing package (Phase 1). Moving forward, the Design Development Drawing and specification package (Phase 2) will be used to create full Tender/Construction documents (Phase 3) for what could be multiple Construction packages. Înainte de lansare, pachetul de proiectare pentru desen și dezvoltare (faza 2) va fi utilizat pentru a crea documente complete de proiectare (etapa 3) pentru ceea ce ar putea fi mai multe pachete de construcții. We are very excited to share some big updates this month! The Venus Project is now a part of our Non-Profit Organization called Resource Based Economy. We have just launched the website of this Non-Profit Organization and, for the first time, we are presenting the concept, goals and team behind the major construction project we are currently working on: the Center for Resource Management (https://www.thevenusproject.com/wp-content/plugins/civicrm/civicrm/extern/url.php?u=442&qid=1028319).

Many may know that in 2016, we established a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization called Resource Based Economy, with the bylaws set up broadly enough for large-scale urban development (e.g. a first city). The NPO was first mentioned within the video produced when Jacque Fresco received the “United Nations Global Goals Award for Sustainable Cities and Communities” and when they wrote to announce the award to him, they acknowledged and praised the social design of a Resource Based Economy as well.


Now, The Venus Project has become a part of the NPO Resource Based Economy. The NPO has its own website which outlines the direction of a Global Resource Based Economy and presents the first practical steps we have already initiated towards demonstrating and gradually implementing this socio-economic system (more about this below). The Venus Project activities and website will continue as they have been, but under a broader context, with more opportunities for grants and funding for large-scale projects


We invite you to explore the website of the Resource Based Economy NPO. You will see that for the first time we present the concept, goals and team behind this major construction project we have undertaken: the Center for Resource Management. This facility will be the area of a mid-sized university campus and will act as a stepping stone towards the development of our proposed experimental cities. A major difference setting this project apart from other initiatives that tackle humanity’s grand challenges is the systems approach to imagining how society could operate.


The aim is for all permanent residents of the Center for Resource Management to have access to housing, food, water, clothing, energy, education, all at no cost. Resources will be much more intelligently managed - 3D printers, tools, bikes, vehicles, and so on will be collectively used and shared, while ensuring they are in good condition and always available without waiting lines. This systems approach can be replicated and scaled up to eventually allow all of humanity to choose to live in cities that implement this new social system.

The Venus Project is very excited to receive a donation of three “HTC Vive Pro" virtual reality kits with controllers from a top video game and hardware developer which would like to remain anonymous. This contribution further enables us to work on a virtual reality walk-through of one of Jacque Fresco’s city designs. There is also the potential for developing an immersive 3D experience of the grounds and buildings for a tour of the Center for Resource Management (https://www.thevenusproject.com/wp-content/plugins/civicrm/civicrm/extern/url.php?u=510&qid=1176342) as the blueprints and designs for this facility become further developed.

























Progress on Model Archiving

From the 1970's to 2006 Jacque Fresco and Roxanne Meadows produced over 400 models of Jacque's designs to help depict many aspects of the future. We would like to bring you up to date with the model archiving effort, which is currently in post-production stage - the final step of the complete 360-degree video capture of each of these models. The entire collection is archived in high resolution. This is one of the primary components of a comprehensive archiving project of these works. Once completed, the archive will list and cross-link drawings, photographs and videos of any one of these models. This will enable us to preserve the work and easily cross-reference any particular design and present it in many different formats.

Jacque Fresco speaks about the physical factors responsible for the way we react to the world around us. These determinants of our behavior are always related to our background. Fresco discusses these concepts as a “mechanistic point of view” which looks at the causes of our behavior. He outlines differences between the current monetary system and a Resource Based Economy. Jacque explains how being able to make accurate predictions is required in order for society to meet people’s needs. Further topics include our relationship to technology, and what that relationship might look like with advanced technology in the future. Jacque emphasizes and illustrates the language and semantics of technical fields as closer approximations to arrive at a culture as envisioned by The Venus Project.

Previously titled “Science and Social Change”, this lecture covers a preliminary discussion of social change and child education. Jacque Fresco is primarily concerned here with the mechanistic conception of organic and inorganic phenomena while reviewing the works of George Washington Crile, Jacques Loeb, and Jagadish Chandra Bose. Jacque relates the mechanistic point of view to society, evolution, innovation, human behavior, and what people call “thinking,” and “reasoning.” He additionally discusses tropisms, instincts, determinants of animal behavior, the interrelationship of interacting variables in causality, resident forces, purpose in nature, free will, and the definition of life.

Roxanne Meadows presented a lecture called, “A New Social System for a Technological Age” at the 2018 Knowledge Summit in Dubai, which took place on Dec 5th and 6th. Jacque Fresco - Scientific Responsibility (Jan. 31, 2011)

Fresco discusses how there are no separate sciences - there is only one science. What we need is an integrated system using the methods of science in all areas, including social management. Science today is mostly directed by commercial institutions and universities, and used by those who are in positions of advantage. Businesses seek positions of advantage rather than creating optimal conditions for all people and the ecological systems.

Fresco further explains that if scientists serve a particular nation then that is slanted towards that nation’s political and economic superiority whereas true science would work toward the well being of all people. Scientists teach science but they do not apply it to government or analyze the banking institutions. It is not scientific if findings are put in books and publications but not applied to society due to vested interests or artificial monetary scarcity. Fresco claims that what is needed is the intelligent management of Earth’s resources to benefit all people.

As the year end approaches, we are taking this opportunity to thank all of you for your wonderfully inspirational support. We are also presenting the trailer and a new full length lecture by Jacque Fresco titled Problem Solving.
























A Sincere Thank You

We want to express our deep appreciation to each and every one of you who volunteer with The Venus Project. Whether you are within our teams or not, just new to our teams, or have been with us for years, you play such a huge part in moving the Project forward and exposing the ideas and aims to the public. We want to thank those who are supporting us by purchasing the lectures, books, and other materials and to those moving through the Sociocyberneering Education Project to get a much more in-depth understanding about the The Venus Project. Obtaining an ongoing education about the subject matter is certainly of great importance. And there are also those who are helping grow The Venus Project by maintaining our Social Media, Graphics, Website, Transcriptions, Video Productions, Text Editing, and those working within the Human Resources, Data-Driven Decisions, Communications, Fundraising, and Land Acquisition teams. Of course, this includes Linguistic Team International and the Points Of Contact teams who have done some awesome work. Also included are the amazing creations of the Virtual Reality team, along with the incredible contributions of the Architectural, Engineering, & Construction volunteers. There are so many to thank and each of you gives us tremendous inspiration.
We would also like to extend a very special appreciation to S.O.U.L. Documentary and to all of you who have donated to their matching funds campaign that has been hugely successful (https://www.thevenusproject.com/wp-content/plugins/civicrm/civicrm/extern/url.php?u=1093&qid=1944919). There is so much that will be done with the hundreds of donations we received to preserve and organize Jacque Fresco’s enormous body of work that we are fortunate to have as our “foundation”. Jacque Fresco - Problem Solving (Nov. 5, 2010)

In this lecture, Jacque Fresco stresses that problem solving is the most important lesson we must discuss. He describes the difference between the private/corporate problem-solving approaches prevalent in much of today's society versus global problem solving, which a Resource-Based Economy will utilize.

He further elaborates on emergent problem solving through several examples, touching on various topics such as captivating the attention of children, evolution, behavior, future schools, psychology, linguists & semanticists, overcoming scarcity, metaphysics vs. physical referents, the possibility of needing specialists in certain areas due to a lack of generalists* in the way that Jacque uses the term, and so much more!

* Education in the future will be geared towards facilitating the creation of generalists who incorporate all of the factors necessary to sustain a civilization that takes care of the needs of all people and protects the whole Earth system. Specialists are produced today due to the established trade-based systems.

Other Outcomes we will be Pursuing Over this Next Year

A couple months ago, we were approached by a supporter who gathered many quotes of Jacque Fresco from online sources. Since then, we have further developed this idea, and with the help of the Linguistic Team International’s quote repository, we will be self-publishing a small book of over 200 quotes by Jacque Fresco. You can look forward to this being available very soon.

We look forward to improving our website content and layout, as well as improvement to our volunteer education.

We will also start offering 3D printed replicas of Jacque Fresco’s original handcrafted models of architectural and transportation designs. These will be printed in sandstone through Shapeways.

Preserving The Venus Project’s Foundations

Jacque Fresco contributed much to our understanding of current problems and potential solutions. Today, The Venus Project remains founded on his body of work. As part of managing our evolution as an organization, we will be creating a website in his name. This will give the best presentation of his life and work by providing it in a single package and as a coherent system. As part of this website, we will include a timeline of his life and a subscription to his audio and video lectures.

We seek to preserve the ideas at the foundation of The Venus Project. To do this, we will make explicit all information in Fresco’s lectures through publications. In December 2019, we closed a successful fundraiser dedicated to processing information both at our foundations and for our evolution. As promised, we have begun funding transcription of Fresco’s lectures which will continue through 2020. We welcome volunteers to proofread (https://www.thevenusproject.com/wp-content/plugins/civicrm/civicrm/extern/url.php?u=1121&qid=1997528) the text in preparation for publication. Simultaneously, we will analyze the content of transcripts through a qualitative research software called MAXQDA Pro to account for and correlate the information across lectures.
























Beyond 2020, the Following Outcomes are Estimated:



A podcast that features the top experts in many disciplines that correlate with The Venus Project’s vision.
Upon completion of the transcription project, we envision publishing the content in a series of volumes. These first include, a single Compendium that assembles the highlight excerpts from transcripts. Next, a series of Selected Works will group the particular transcripts by theme. Finally, a Collected Works will include all lectures in chronological order. It will also include volumes dedicated to Fresco’s sketches and models.
As mentioned in our previous fundraiser, we will be conducting literature reviews for key questions, starting with inviting criticism through critical reviews. Subsequent literature reviews will follow. Our long term interest is to contribute to or establish a transdisciplinary research program dedicated to a science of Earth management, taking as the focal point, the design and construction of new cities.
Additional ideas for future promotion of TVP concepts include creating a VR simulator of future environments such as a new center or city.
Plans for a transmedia IP and a new center continue.

Jacque Fresco - Machine Government (Feb. 14, 2011)

People through the years have been skeptical of a proposed government run by machines but in this lecture, Jacque Fresco explains why it is the future. A government run by people is influenced by temperament, bias, prejudice and lack of information. So many people working together can lead to misunderstandings and confusion. People also need to take breaks, eat, sleep, and more.

Jacque provides examples showing that machines aren't our enemies but that people today may use machines for negative incentives. Machines will assist humans until they exceed our performance, as in many ways they do today, but they will be redirected for humanity’s wellbeing. Jacque also explores decision-making and how The Venus Project does not make decisions but, rather, arrives at them.

Jacque Fresco - Machine Government (14 februarie 2011)

Oamenii de-a lungul anilor au fost sceptici cu privire la un guvern propus de mașini, dar în această prelegere, Jacque Fresco explică de ce este viitorul. Un guvern condus de oameni este influențat de temperament, părtinire, prejudecăți și lipsa de informații. Atât de mulți oameni care lucrează împreună pot duce la neînțelegeri și confuzie. De asemenea, oamenii trebuie să ia pauze, să mănânce, să doarmă și multe altele.

Jacque oferă exemple care arată că mașinile nu sunt dușmanii noștri, dar că astăzi oamenii pot folosi mașini pentru stimulente negative. This month we are excited to let you know of a new children’s book.


Throughout the years there have been many people who asked if we had materials that they could share with their children to introduce them to the designs and ideas of The Venus Project.
























Postcard from the Future








We now have a second children's book on The Venus Project, this one by Alexandra Moysey who is a teacher in Finland. She authored and illustrated this new e-book “Postcard From The Future.” After seeing The Venus Project’s documentary, “The Choice Is Ours,” she wanted to present the ideas within this film to her students. The result is this book to help kids explore new possibilities for their future. It is beautifully illustrated and also includes many of Jacque Fresco’s designs with model photos and CGI format. The book walks you through many aspects of a Resource Based Economy as told to two children and would be entertaining for all ages.

For finalizing her book Alexandra worked with several people within The Venus Project’s team to edit, lay out its design, and collaborate on the content since she aspired to closely represent The Venus Project. We are happy to include this e-book at an introductory price in our store.

De-a lungul anilor, au fost mulți oameni care au întrebat dacă avem materiale pe care le-ar putea împărtăși copiilor lor pentru a le prezenta proiectele și ideile Proiectului Venus.














Carte poștală din viitor








Avem acum o a doua carte pentru copii despre The Venus Project, aceasta de Alexandra Moysey, care este profesor în Finlanda. Ea a scris și a ilustrat această nouă carte electronică „Carte poștală din viitor”. După ce a văzut documentarul The Venus Project, „Alegerea este a noastră”, ea a dorit să le prezinte studenților ideile din acest film. Rezultatul este această carte pentru a ajuta copiii să exploreze noi posibilități pentru viitorul lor. Este frumos ilustrat și include, de asemenea, multe dintre desenele lui Jacque Fresco, cu fotografii de model și format CGI. Cartea vă îndrumă prin multe aspecte ale unei economii bazate pe resurse, așa cum li s-a spus celor doi copii și ar fi distractivă pentru toate vârstele.
